Quick Start

Create an Account

Click "Sign up" and enter your email address

Verify Your Email

Check your inbox and click the verification link

Wait for Approval (if required)

Some email addresses require admin approval (1-2 business days)

Sign In and Upload

Once approved, sign in and drag & drop your CSV files

How to Register

Step 1: Go to the Sign Up Page

On the main page, click the "Sign up" link below the sign-in form.

Step 2: Enter Your Email

Enter your business email address. We accept:

Corporate email addresses (instantly approved)
CarBuddy team emails (@carbuddy.uk, @carbuddychat.com)
Personal emails (gmail.com, outlook.com, etc.) - requires manual approval

Step 3: Create a Strong Password

Your password must meet these requirements:

At least 8 characters long
Contains uppercase letters (A-Z)
Contains lowercase letters (a-z)
Contains numbers (0-9)

Example: MyP@ssw0rd2024

Step 4: Verify Your Email

After clicking "Create Account", you'll see a confirmation message. Check your email inbox for a verification link.

Important: The verification link expires in 24 hours. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder.

Step 5: Wait for Approval (if required)

If you used a personal email address (like Gmail), your account will need manual approval:

Our team receives a notification of your registration
Approval typically takes 1-2 business days
You'll receive an email when your account is approved
Corporate email addresses are approved automatically

How to Upload Files

Step 1: Sign In

Enter your email and password on the main page and click "Sign In".

Step 2: Select Your File

You can upload files in two ways:

Click to upload: Click anywhere in the upload box to browse files
Drag & drop: Drag a CSV file from your computer and drop it in the upload box

Step 3: Review File Details

Once selected, you'll see:

File name
File size

Make sure this is the correct file before uploading.

Step 4: Click Upload

Click the blue "Upload File" button to start uploading.

Step 5: Wait for Confirmation

You'll see a progress bar while the file uploads. Once complete, you'll see a success message.

Success! Your file has been uploaded securely. Our team has been notified.

File Requirements

Format: CSV files only (.csv)
Size: Maximum 100MB per file
Security: Files are encrypted during upload and storage
Retention: Files are automatically deleted after 90 days

Troubleshooting

I didn't receive the verification email

Check your spam/junk folder. The email comes from "CarBuddy Upload Portal". If you still don't see it after 10 minutes, try signing up again.

I can't log in - "User is not confirmed"

This means you haven't clicked the verification link in your email yet. Check your inbox and spam folder for the verification email.

My account is still pending approval

Personal email addresses (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) require manual approval which takes 1-2 business days. You'll receive an email when approved.

Upload failed

Make sure you're uploading a CSV file under 100MB. Try logging out and logging back in. If the problem persists, contact support.

I forgot my password

Click "Forgot password?" on the login page. Enter your email and we'll send you a verification code to reset your password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my data secure?

Yes. All files are encrypted during upload and storage using AWS encryption standards. Files are stored in a private S3 bucket with strict access controls.

How long are files stored?

Files are automatically deleted after 90 days for security and privacy reasons.

Can I upload multiple files?

Yes, you can upload files one at a time. After each successful upload, you can select and upload another file.

What file formats are supported?

Currently, only CSV (Comma Separated Values) files are supported.

Who can see my uploaded files?

Only authorized CarBuddy team members can access uploaded files. Your files are not visible to other portal users.
